
Head of Retention (CRM)

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive email marketing strategies to optimize user retention and engagement;
- Oversee and manage a team of professionals, including a designer, three CRM campaign managers, and one developer responsible for trigger development;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, product, and data analytics, to align retention communication efforts with overall business objectives;
- Conduct regular analysis of email marketing campaigns and communication channels, utilizing strong analytical skills to identify areas for improvement and optimize performance;
- Ensure high-quality copywriting and design standards across all communication channels, maintaining a consistent brand voice and visual identity;
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in retention communication, incorporating relevant tactics and strategies into our campaigns;
- Monitor and report on key metrics and benchmarks to measure the effectiveness of email marketing campaigns, providing actionable insights to the CEO and other stakeholders;
- Collaborate with the CRM team to segment email lists effectively and leverage personalization techniques to enhance user engagement;
- Take a hands-on approach in creating email templates from scratch, using HTML, CSS, SQL, and other relevant tools as needed;
- Act as the primary point of contact for email marketing platform vendors, managing relationships and staying informed about new features and capabilities.
Requirements
- Proven experience (5+ years) in email marketing strategy, preferably in a live-streaming or entertainment services industry;
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to leverage data-driven insights to optimize retention communication efforts;
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal, with exceptional copywriting skills;
- A keen eye for design and a good taste for visual aesthetics, ensuring high-quality standards in all communication materials;
- Demonstrated experience in managing and leading a team of professionals, fostering collaboration and driving results;
- In-depth knowledge of email marketing platforms, preferably including experience with reply segmentation;
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, SQL, and other relevant technical skills, enabling the creation of email templates from scratch must be plus;
- Familiarity with basic metrics and benchmarks in the email marketing industry, allowing for effective performance analysis and reporting;
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in retention communication;
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently, while also effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams;
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines;
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.
